How to Eat 7 more Servings of Veggies This Week!

Even as adults, sometimes finding a way to incorporate vegetables into your diet isn’t easy. We want to show you seven simple ways to eat your veggies that you can start this week!

1. Give yourself a vegetable tax.

This means that before you eat any meal, you eat one portion’s worth of vegetables in any way shape or form!

2. Turn your snacks into vegetables.

Sometimes instead of going straight for crackers and hummus, try carrots and hummus for example! So many possibilities!

3.  Blend them in a smoothie!

We promise you’ll hardly taste them! Some great neutral tasting veggies for smoothies include:

>Spinach

>Carrots

>Kale

>Beets

>Pumpkin

4. Add them to eggs.

This can vary anywhere from eggs and spinach, vegetable scrambled eggs, veggie quiche etc . The point is, eat your veggies!

5. Start making vegetable sandwiches. 

Such an easy way to pack in your veggies! Here are some ideas to get you started:

>Green Sandwich

  • Whole wheat bread 

  • Cucumber 

  • Avocado 

  • Hummus

  • Pea shoots

  • Red bell pepper

  • Spinach 

  • Cilantro

> Roasted Veggie Sandwich

  • Your choice of assorted veggies!

  • Alfalfa sprouts

  • Onion

  • Pesto

  • Mustard 

6.  Start Making Veggie Chips 

Some of our favorites are definitely sweet potato, kale and beets. Just roast them in the oven with some olive oil salt and some pepper! Easy peasy and delicious!

7. Find salads you actually like!

Be creative, just make sure it’s healthy! Steer clear from heavy dressings, high sugar dressings, and fried components. 

Remember it is insanely important to include vegetables in your day to day diet. They are the source of countless vitamins and nutrients, plus they are often low in calories and high fiber! What’s not to love?!
